I believe stories can be mirrors.
They show us who we are, what hurts, and, if we’re lucky, who we could become.

I’m Luna Vei, a YA fantasy author drawn to dark urban worlds where magic exists just beneath the surface of everyday life. I write stories about empathy, survival, and the courage it takes to ask for help, especially in the face of our world’s indifference.

My love for stories began early and never really ended. Words have always felt like home, which eventually led me to become an English teacher. Teaching deepened my belief in the power of language: how the right story, at the right moment, can make someone feel less alone.

I’m particularly interested in flawed female protagonists, girls who are angry, scared, soft, reckless, or unsure, often all at once. My work explores mental health, identity, and belonging, wrapped in Europe-inspired settings where technology and magic coexist in uneasy balance.

My debut YA urban dark fantasy, Keepers of Mirrors, is currently in edits and preparing to enter the query trenches. It follows a girl forced to confront a deadly secret society while helping her best friend search for his father’s killer in a city where mirrors can kill you.

When I’m not writing or teaching, I can usually be found searching for the best coffee around, crocheting something I may never finish, or watching obscure movies that refuse to explain themselves.

I write in English, and I also speak Italian and French.

If my stories sound like something you’d enjoy, I’d love to have you by my side on my journey.
